From idea to source media
Board-Cut lives inside Studio 2.0. Begin with existing files or make a fresh screen recording, then build the video on the timeline.
Combine video, images, music, narration, text, logos and elements into one finished video. Editing and MP4 download are free; AI tools are charged per use.
Open Studio 2.0 and choose the video editor. The start screen offers “Upload videos” or “Screen recording”. Inside the editor, add more video, audio and images at any time, including drag and drop.
Record a browser tab, a window or the entire screen. Before recording, choose the microphone, tab or system audio, and an optional webcam bubble.
Know the map
The editor has three clear zones: preview, tools sidebar and a multi-track timeline. Every change appears immediately in the preview.
Use the top bar to rename the project, undo or redo, check local-save status and open export. Below the preview are playback, time, aspect ratio, mute-original-audio and speech-enhancement controls.
Time always moves left to right. Each content type has its own track, so it is easy to see what is on screen at every moment.
Click the ruler to scrub. Drag a clip to move it, drag an edge to trim or extend it, and select a clip to edit or delete it.
When an item is selected, its inspector stays pinned at the top. One category opens at a time, and the ≡ handle reorders categories to match your workflow.
The editor opens directly inside Studio 2.0. Return to this guide whenever you need it.
Pace, color and focus
Change the pace and look of each clip, create smooth exits, and guide attention to an important detail with a separate zoom track.
Select a clip to open video controls. Choose 0.25×, 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, 2× or 4×, plus slow-to-fast and fast-to-slow speed changes.
Add video to the PiP track to place it over the main picture. Drag it in the preview, resize it and place it in a corner or anywhere that fits the composition.
Place the playhead and choose “Add zoom”. A pink region appears on the zoom track; move it in time or drag its edges to change the duration.
The story on screen
Clear titles, balanced music and accurate captions make a video easy to follow, even with the sound off.
Start with a headline, lower-third, credits or call-to-action preset. Then edit content, font, size, solid or gradient color, background, shadow, outline, position and alignment.
Choose one of four styles—plain, box, word or highlight—then generate captions. A selected audio clip is used first; otherwise the editor looks for narration at the playhead, then the relevant video.
Upload a music file or record voiceover directly with the microphone. The audio clip appears on the green track and can be moved, trimmed and balanced.
Voice and identity
Generate narration from text, save a personal voice to the account, and add a visual brand system without leaving the editor.
Write the script, choose one of six voices and create narration at the playhead. Optional pronunciation assistance improves common interior-design terms.
Record a 15–90 second sample. For the best result, use 30–60 seconds of natural, continuous speech in a quiet room. The voice moves through uploading and creating states before it is ready.
Search shapes, lines, frames, icons, stickers, arrows, badges and décor. Supported vector elements can be tinted.
Finish with confidence
Check aspect ratio, quality and audio before download. Your project is stored locally so a refresh can resume it on the same browser and device.
Open “Export MP4” and choose Custom, YouTube, Reels, Stories or WhatsApp. Select 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 and 720p or 1080p.
The editing session is stored in the current browser on the current device. Refreshing can resume it, but moving to another browser or computer will not transfer the project.
Refresh, confirm browser permissions and make sure source files are still available. If export will not begin, use desktop Chrome or Edge and close heavy tabs.

Quick answers for the most common recording, editing and export situations.
Board-Cut is designed for desktop Chrome or Edge. Keep the page open, check free device storage and close heavy tabs. Then retry at 720p.
Open site permissions beside the address bar and allow microphone and camera access. If access was blocked earlier, refresh after changing it.
Choose a Chrome tab in the share dialog and enable “Share tab audio”. Audio availability for a window or entire screen varies by browser and operating system.
The media aspect ratio differs from the project. Choose a closer ratio, resize the media in the preview, or keep the bars to avoid cropping.
Select the intended audio or narration clip on the timeline, place the playhead inside it, and then generate automatic captions again.
Projects stay only in the browser and device where they were edited. They do not sync to the cloud. Download the final MP4 before switching devices or clearing browser data.
Check the balance, shorten a long script if useful, and retry. Add tokens if needed, or record voice directly with the microphone without using an AI tool.
Try a local file in a common format, refresh and resume the saved session, free browser memory, and export at a lower quality. Keep original source files available.
